Website Build
Website Build
Design, development, e-commerce, migrations and integrations – everything you need to build and grow online.
At The Web Orchard we design, build, migrate and integrate websites for businesses across Shropshire and beyond.
Whether you need a brand-new website, a rebuild on a better platform, or a website that talks properly to the rest of your business systems, this is where that work happens – from the first conversation about your brand through to the technical detail of how your store connects to your back office.
Web Design & Branding
Every project starts with a conversation, not a template. We get to know your business, your objectives and your customers before we design a single page, so the result reflects who you actually are rather than a generic layout with your logo dropped in.
Where it’s needed, we also help develop or refresh your branding and visual identity alongside the website itself – logo, colour palette, typography and tone of voice – so your site and your brand grow together rather than being designed in isolation from each other.
All our designs are completely bespoke, built mobile-first and fully responsive, and use clean, semantic structure that supports both a strong user experience and good readability for AI and search tools, keeping your site well-positioned as search continues to evolve.
WordPress Development
WordPress is the world’s most-used content management system, and it’s the platform we know best. Our development team builds technically robust, easy to manage WordPress websites – from custom themes and bespoke plugins through to more complex, feature-rich builds for larger organisations.
We also offer WordPress consultancy for organisations who need help with an existing site, a tricky technical problem, or simply a second opinion from people who work in WordPress every day. If you’re an agency looking to offer WordPress development to your own clients under your brand, see our White Label Web Services page.
E-Commerce
We build online stores on WooCommerce and WordPress, and we also design and develop on Shopify – so whichever platform suits your business, budget and product range, we can help.
Beyond the storefront itself, we set up everything a modern online store actually needs to run smoothly: secure, PCI-compliant payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal and others), subscription and recurring-payment services for businesses selling on a membership or subscription basis, delivery and shipping setup including carrier integrations and shipping rate rules, and VAT setup configured correctly for UK and cross-border selling.
Whatever the size of your business or the number of products you sell, our e-commerce solutions are built to scale with you.
Website Migrations
Moving a website is one of the riskiest things you can do to it, which is exactly why we specialise in doing it carefully. We handle two kinds of migration:
Platform migrations – moving your website from one platform to another, for example from a page builder onto WordPress, or from an older or unsupported CMS onto a modern, secure build, without losing your content, your search rankings, or your customers’ accounts and order history.
Server migrations – moving an existing website from one host to another with minimal downtime, whether that’s because your current host isn’t performing, or you’re bringing a site over to our managed hosting.
Either way, we plan migrations properly: auditing what exists, testing thoroughly before go-live, and checking everything – including SEO – still works once the switch is made.
Integrations
Increasingly, a website needs to talk to the rest of your business rather than sit on its own. We’ve built integrations connecting WooCommerce stores to back-office systems including SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, so that orders, stock and customer data flow automatically between your website and the systems your team already uses, rather than being re-keyed by hand.
If you’re running – or planning to run – an online store alongside an ERP, CRM or accounting system, talk to us about what’s possible. Most systems with an API can be connected.
Whether you need a new website, a migration, an integration, or all three, get in touch and we’ll talk through what’s right for your business.
